I've been an ON Gold whey protein consumers for years. Decided to try Isopure Whey Isolate for the "lactose free" claim as I have been slowly developing lactose intolerance.This protein powder tastes delicious in chocolate and mixes even easier than the ON Gold. Lactose-free-wise, I am not convinced this product is truly lactose free based on gastrointestinal experience, however it does seem to be lower in lactose than my old staple ON Gold.Isopure Whey Isolate is 40% more expensive by weight than ON Gold, partly as the largest size offered is a three lb jar (ON Gold available in 5 lb jar and 10 lb bag). I realize ON has a more expensive whey isolate product and this is not an apples to apples cost comparison, however my transition to this pricey protein is for the "lactose free" claim, so it still significantly increases my protein cost. I would gladly accept this if I could consume this product without lactose intolerance / GI distress, but this has not been my experience thus far.On the subject of size/container, the 3 lb jar is relatively small in diameter, with a small opening, which makes dispensing a minor chore because the edges of this small opening are very sharp, resulting in skinned knuckles on 2-3 occasions, despite a deliberate effort to avoid this injury. As much as this product costs, Isopure should be able to provide a container with safer-to-use opening, like a heavy duty ziplock bag that will not cause injury. If I reorder this product, I will immediately transfer contents to 1-gallon ziplock freezer bags to prevent future occurrences of "isopure knuckle". Minus 1 star for your knuckle-abrading container - please fix it asap!UPDATE: I bought the 1.37 lbs one and it is NOT the same product. Not one that I would recommend. It’s not whey protein, it is derived from pea and rice. It is not Dutch Chocolate but Chocolate “and other natural flavors.” It says that the ingredients come from domestic and international origins (?!).It is does NOT taste the same (even though the taste is OK) but it is hard to digest. Not sure why the smaller and bigger ones are the true and same thing, while this 1.37 lbs is not, but I’m sending it back. I tried it twice and my stomach can’t take it.I’m lactose intolerant and it’s always been hard to find protein powders which, even though they claim to be lactose free, are easy to digest (look for isolate vs. concentrate whey proteins).I tried this one and I’ll never buy anything else. Super easy on the stomach and it tastes great (I only get the Dutch chocolate flavor). I mix it with almond milk or water and it blends well. Love it!I was looking for a protein powder that is low Fodmap because I like to add protein to my smoothies but most protein powders seem to murder my stomach. My stomach doesn’t have any issues with this and I am able to have it on the low Fodmap diet which is really great for when I don’t have time to figure out something to eat. I’ve tried vanilla, chocolate, and cookies and cream, and I’ve liked all of them. The chocolate isn’t too chocolate-y which I was kind of worried about because I don’t like an overpowering chocolate flavor. I can’t really describe the cookies and cream, but I like it. No surprises with the vanilla.I really love Isopure! I’ve tried Dutch chocolate, vanilla salted caramel, and toasted coconut. Dutch chocolate is the best of the three and tastes like chocolate milk. Vanilla salted caramel would be good with coffee, but stands up well as a flavor on its own. The toasted coconut isn’t bad, but it isn’t good on its own and is better with Dutch processed cocoa powder. Toasted coconut is still drinkable on its own but it’s not good like the other two are.My mom tried all three and said that the vanilla salted caramel is her favorite. She’s never been able to find a good tasting protein powder until she tried the above flavors.I love isopure because it helps round out my diet without added carbs. I eat keto and I needed something to help me eat more protein. I feel that isopure has quality ingredients that perfectly fit my macros and fills me up.The three flavors I have all mix well in my smart shake bottles. The product that I got was not fake or tampered with. There is no seal on the inside, only a plastic ring over the cap which gives plenty of tamper resistance.MIXING- Easiest mixing protein I have ever used in 53 years. I even used a spoon with milk.TASTE- To those snowflakey spaghetti arms who are PTSD-ing over the taste. This isn't a fine wine you sip. Its a protein shake meant to just drink quickly and get on with your life. I've seen you types in the gym, in your spandex and grape drank.QUALITY- A better vitamin/amino complex than Metrx or Muscle milk.GUT HEALTH- Zero problems with gas.I believe it contains powder milk in it, which doesnt say in the front for quick shake maker. Its good that you can just add to water and gives it a slighter milk flavor though enough to not taste like water in comparison with other protein powders. Not a fan of the flavor but its a good product for its vitamins minerals and protein content, as well as low saturated fatsI got the small pack of Dutch chocolate flavor to try out first and will absolutely be getting again. I’m VERY lactose intolerant and have had no issues with this whatsoever. Mix it in with water or almond milk and it tastes great!Isopure is the best protein I've ever had... Bought 2 box of 3lbs low carb Dutch chocolate but recieved both fake... Very hard to say if it's genuine or not.. Even after having great mixibility and original hologram... Ppl who have been using it since a long time will only be able to make out the difference between the original and fake... My advice : even if the price drops too low don't buy it go to your nearest supplier and buy a reliable protein box. Trust me very hard to say if it's fake or not.. No experiments on body from now on..Oops forgot to mention fake products may cause u itchy patches too... CiaoOrdered the dutch chocolate during the prime day sale, received the product within one day. The scoop inside the pouch does not have any branding of isopure, it just says "measurex". Also the consistency of the shake is not thick as it should be, it is very watery. Normally mixing a scoop in 8 ounces of water makes a nice thick shake but not with this one. Don't waste your time and money on buying this product from here, instead go to neulife store and buy from there.this is definitely a fake product. the taste of the product is no where close to the original product. it only had the fake plastic seal on top. once you open that , there is no inside seal in the box.i have recieved a fake product, i have been taking isopure since 10 years and this taste very different.in the pic the one on the left is from the USA it taste great and is genuinethe one on the right is from amazon india, the pic tells it all. it taste awful and its fake.This product is fake. I am a regular buyer of isopure zero carb dutch chocolate....This one has a different texture, doesnt dissolve properly in water, even after vigorously shaking....u can encounter clumps quite often...also it has a very different sweetness to it.I recommend others to avoid buying from here. This is the first time Amazon has disappointed me.
